Unbeknownst to Ava and her two sisters, Iris and Jane, their mother, Molly—who they believe died in a car accident four years ago—was a witch. Their father, James, has shielded them from his wife’s colorful past their entire lives, but he is no longer able to do so when his estranged brother-in-law, Micheal, shows up with a family heirloom and a hunch that his sister might still be alive.  If Ava and her sisters want any hope of finding their mother, they must venture to a forgotten realm where magic is just as prevalent as the danger that lurks in the shadows.
